Bringing Home a New Friend?
Puppies are a big commitment, and those first few days can be overwhelming.
Set your puppy (and yourself!) up for success before they even make it home. The Puppy Preparedness program exists in two parts: preparing your home for your puppy, and acclimating your puppy to that home.
Pre-Puppy Prep
The first session is a 90-minute in home session where I will cover everything you need to set your puppy up for success, including, but not limited to:
- Home Setup and Puppy Proofing
- Socialization Guide
- Crate Training
- Desensitization
- Early Cooperative Care
- Training Foundations
- Potty Training Plan
- Common Puppy Behaviors
- Purchase Recommendations
Puppy Progress
Two weeks after you bring your puppy home, we will have a second in-home, 90-minute session dedicated to reviewing your progress. We’ll examine what’s been working and adjust plans as needed. You’ll receive feedback on your handling, and advice on refining communication to help make sure you and your puppy are on the right track.
Puppyhood and Beyond
Each session will include custom resources tailored to your goals, and unlimited contact with me over phone, text, or email to assist between sessions (new issues may require scheduling a session).
Building a great dog certainly begins in puppyhood, but it doesn’t end there. Clients that have gone through the Puppy Preparedness program will have additional discounts on session packages and group classes.

In addition to the two 90-minute sessions, this package includes unlimited virtual assistance as you navigate choosing the puppy, breed, or breeder that is best for you.
- Optional Add-On | 45-minute trip to rescue or shelter with your household to help pick the dog that’s right for you | $45
